Allocator's Roundtable: Alternatives in Portfolios

Join the Seattle Alternative Investment Association for a technical deep dive into the evolving role of alternatives within institutional and private wealth portfolios. From the endowment model to traditional 60/40, we will examine how different types of Limited Partners are practically navigating the current investment landscape.

Topics will include:

  • Expectations vs Reality: Following a decade of rapid adoption of alternative investments, we will evaluate the assumptions and expectations that drove this growth.
  • Allocation Priorities: Asset classes where investors are currently looking to deploy capital, and the pockets of private markets where outperformance is still available.
  • Structural Preferences: The trade-offs between traditional drawdown fund structures, co-investments, SMAs, and semi-liquid evergreen vehicles.
  • Manager Selection: In an increasingly competitive fundraising environment, what makes a GP stand out?
