SAIA Quarterly Event: 3/21/2024
Alts in 2024 - Opportunities and challenges in an evolving landscape

Dear SAIA Community,

We are excited to host our first in-person event of the year on March 21st. We will discuss the outlook for alternatives in 2024 amidst a particularly uncertain macro-economic environment. Higher interest rates have created winners and losers within private markets.  Certain asset classes are generating strong performance and benefiting from robust fundraising activity (e.g., private credit, secondaries), while others face mounting distress and valuation uncertainty (e.g., real estate). The proverbial “soft-landing” is within reach, but at the same time, tail risks are growing with geopolitical tension seemingly higher than it has been in recent memory. We are assembling a panel of industry experts to provide expectations for the year and perspectives on various topics, including:

  • Opportunities and threats created by interest rates staying higher for longer
  • Alternative investing trends that are expected to continue and those that will reverse
  • Signs of a market trough and when to shift from a defensive to an opportunistic approach
  • Conventional market expectations that may be incorrect

We will soon provide additional information about the event and our panel. We look forward to seeing you at the event!
