Jesse Proudman

Co-founder & Chief Technology Officer

Jesse is co-founder and CTO of Venice.ai, a private, uncensored generative AI platform. Venice uniquely offers users permissionless access to open-source Large Language Models and image generation within a privacy preserving technical architecture which utilizes decentralized compute. 

Jesse stands out as a technical entrepreneur with almost three decades of experience across multiple endeavors. Most recently, he was co-founder of Strix Leviathan, a crypto investment manager powered by a sophisticated proprietary trading platform, and co-founder and CEO of Makara, an investment platform democratizing access to the cryptocurrency markets. Following the successful acquisition of Makara by Betterment, an investing and savings app, Jesse joined Betterment to lead their crypto initiative.

Prior to Strix Leviathan and Makara, Jesse founded Blue Box, a cloud computing startup. Under his leadership, Blue Box successfully raised over $22 million, leading to a successful acquisition by IBM. During his time at IBM, Jesse focused on blockchain technology and cryptocurrency applications as an Entrepreneur in Residence and Distinguished Engineer, and as CTO of IBM Bluemix Private Cloud. 

Jesse dedicates time to nurturing the next generation of innovators as a mentor and board member at the Buerk Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of Washington. 

Jesse earned a bachelor's degree in Business Leadership from the University of Puget Sound and a certificate in the Entrepreneurial Masters Program from the Entrepreneurs Organization. An avid seafarer, Jesse obtained a Master Inland/Mate Near Coastal captain's license from the U.S. Coast Guard in 2021.

Theo Fields is a General Partner at Bloccelerate, a VC fund focused on growing the on-chain economy. Theo began his crypto career in 2016 as a product manager. He led product for one of the first IP chain projects, an Ethereum-based rights and royalties management solution that was being developed by a major tech and gaming company in 2017 - 2018. Since that time, he has received his MBA from MIT and led investments across domains at Bloccelerate. His mix of perspectives has helped him understand crypto-native pain points and products balanced with long-term value and business potential. 

Before joining Bloccelerate in 2022, Theo led product for an enterprise blockchain collaboration between EY and Microsoft. 

 

Sebastian Bea, OLY

Sebastian Pedro Bea, OLY, is President of Coinbase Asset Management. Sebastian focuses on building Coinbase AM's investment platform and global client base. Sebastion helps clients understand, access, and stay connected to the investment capabilities of Coinbase AM. Sebastian has 20 years' experience across liquid public markets and institutional investing. Prior to Coinbase's acquisition of One River Digital, Sebastian also served as the Head of Sales and Strategy for One River Asset Management, growing the firm from $1 billion to $3 billion in AUM.
 
Sebastian previously worked at BlackRock (2012-2020), most recently as Managing Director, co-leading investment strategy globally for BlackRock Systematic Active Equity. Prior, Sebastian worked at Credit Suisse (2001-2012), building relationships with institutional investors, delivering the firm's proprietary data, capital markets product, and firmwide capabilities. Sebastian holds a UC Berkely double major in English and Economics and is a World Champion and Olympic Silver Medalist, in rowing, for the USA.

 

Brooke Pollack

Brooke is the Founder & Managing Partner of Hutt Capital, a blockchain venture capital fund of funds platform. Prior to Hutt Capital, Brooke spent a decade investing across private fund, secondary, and direct strategies with leading global investment firms. Most recently, he spent 4+ years with Greenspring Associates, a venture capital platform with >$17 billion under management where he worked on transactions representing over $750 million of invested or committed capital and spearheaded their blockchain and crypto efforts. 

Earlier in his career, Brooke was at Hamilton Lane (NASDAQ: HLNE), a global private equity advisory and asset management firm, where he focused on private equity secondary transactions. Prior, he was at CTC Consulting, an investment consulting firm for ultra-high net worth individuals and families, where he focuses on sourcing, diligence and monitoring of fund investments across a wide range of private market strategies. Brooke lives in Portland, OR with his wife and three kids.
